and much to our dismay, they keep on getting more and more grown up, until they’re fifteen, 6’2″, and can use you for an armrest!

I know the feeling! I’m glad they’re growing and exploring but part of me is sad!!

so true! Holding my newbie AND watching my 12 yr old “suffer” with acne is weird strange funny and sad all at the same time!

  • I wish kids came with a remote with “rewind” and “pause” buttons. I’d love to revisit about 7 weeks; 7 months; 7 years, etc. when my 13-year-old is acting like a 13-year-old. :-)

  • Yeah – having secure children can sure make you crazy sometimes. I stopped testing the theory of your toddler will comeback when he reaches the limit of his comfort zone when he got to the far end of 2 soccer fields lengthwise and then some.

Walking and baby talk is fun, but I can’t wait till I can have a conversation with my daughter. Though by the time that happens, I probably won’t be the coolest person she knows anymore, LOL.

Between us, my husband and I have 5. We each had 2 when we met and 1 together. My step-son is about to turn 16. This is really tough to wrap my brain around. 16. As in, old enough to drive.

Oh I do know what you mean! Can I say that seeing my beautiful teens now helps me savor my sweet baby at my breast.

Well, this is never going to happen to me. My kids are very well behaved, and I’ve forbidden them from growing up, so no worries!

My 9 year old is growing bumps and has had to start wearing deoderant, and soon I will be changing a newborn’s diapers and nursing her. It will be strange when October rolls around. Thankfully, my little boy is still little enough to be cute. BTW, My son nursed until he turned 3, I suddenly dried up, otherwise he would have kept on going!! I will be nursing this one also. I was soo disappointed when I was physically unable to nurse my first child, she had poor suck reflexes and I had inverted nipples and my milk never came in. I cried when I couldn’t do the one thing for her that my hubby can’t. I love your comics and hope you’ll do this for a long long time!!

  • I love this comic. I so feel ya! We have a 16 month old and an almost 13 yr. old (as well as a 10 yr old and 6 yr. old) Contrast is good for us, right?!?
