You make my day. Fortunately I was nursing in the 80′s and still had a little bit of the 70′s in my milk so neither me or my babies were shy. Okay, so when my girl was almost 4 and nursing, we nursed in private:))
I always went with the subtler (as subtle as you get with E sized breasts) just nursing near the other mama. That way you can chat and they don’t feel odd. However, your solution? FAR more fashion forward!
Darn it, I wish I knew how to knit, now… I want a pair of those. Hilarious cartoon. A pity it still describes so many new mothers trying to get established in their nursing relationships.
Wow! I never saw those scarves before! Ah well, like the nipple hat, I’m not the first and won’t be the last ;o) And I don’t actually knit either, so if any of you mamas wanna knit anything breastfeeding related come on and advertise on my site we’re in the beginning of craft week and there’s a give-away!!!!! coming in a day or two ;o)
xox,
Heather
This made me laugh and tear up at the same time! I pictured myself as that mama the first few weeks after my lo was born. (Now, nearly 4 months later, I am MORE than comfortable nursing in public).
Glad to hear it Chelsie. A relative’s girlfriend doesn’t feed her baby in front of anyone (bar the baby’s father presumably). The baby is 8 weeks old. Hoping she gets over that soon.
(I’ll happily nurse anywhere and everywhere and have… but yeah, with a 3yr 7 month old and very few people in the area who breastfeed *babies* let alone toddlers… well, we tend to NIP {nurse in private} lol).
doubles as a cozy scarf!

How can I easily post this to my Facebook account?

You could probably attach a pair of knitted breasts to the ends of any scarf you want
nice idea.
