So, I woke up this morning and voila! I have a one year old in the house! Happy Birthday Ean, it’s been a really wonderful year with you in the world!
Also, as you mamas will attest, the birthday of a baby is also the anniversary of the day mama gave birth. It just works out that way. Here’s the birth story of Ean: The Birthstory of Ean Campbell
and of course, if you want to read the book that started it all (the stories in the book inspired making Ean, Ean inspired actually finishing writing the book, it was a give-give situation ;o) order it here: Simply Give Birth
and as always…
Love,
Mama

Wow! Happy birthday, little man! This year has gone WAY too fast! To think, I was still pregnant a year ago today!
i can’t believe he’s one already. or that mine is 18 months already. why does it go so quickly?
hope there’s lots of cake planned!
Happy birthday and anniversary!!! I remember finding his birth story shortly after Kairi was born (her bday is 3/26)… It was my introduction to home birth. I was like, “Wow… People choose to do this…. on purpose??? It’s beautiful!” And a convert I was. I just enrolled back in school and will be on my way to become a nurse and eventually midwife. Thanks for the beautiful introduction!
happy birth day mama. and happy birthday to your little man! a year? really?

Happy birthday Ean, and happy BIRTHday, Heather. We started our homeschooling day by re-reading your/Ean’s birth story. The kids, Haze and Clara said, “that’s funny! Let’s read it again!” (but I know you didn’t think it was so funny while you were in the middle of it.) Cheers!
Hi Mama,
Just wanted to let you know I received your book in the mail the other day. I am enjoying every minute that the kids allow me to read of it!! If we are blessed with another, I am feeling drawn to the unassisted birth idea, my best birth(I’ve had 3) was the one where the midwife showed up at the end….by myself all day.
Happy Birthday Ean, I cannot believe it’s been a year already. It feels just like yesterday I was stalking the blog waiting to hear the news. I have been a follower of Hathor for many, many years. Thanks for all you do Heather.
Hi Erin,
awwwwww, I’m so pleased to hear that. You made the whole day worthwhile ;o)
xox,
Heather
Happy birthday (late) Ean! I can’t believe it’s been a year!
Wonder if there will be any more birth stories coming or if Ean is the last??
Congratulations to both of you. My son is 3 months younger than Ean; reading his birth story was very inspirational to me as I prepared for my first birth (even though I didn’t go unassisted.) =)
LOL, I remembered you updated the website announcing his birth and my first thought was “April Fool’s…” Then you posted the next days saying, “No, he really is here!!!”
You mean he’s one year old and your still nursing? Don’t you know your milk loses all it’s nutritional value by 1 year? Shouldn’t he be eating real food by now? He’s going to be so sexually confused, after all he’s a boy and a breast is a sex object. What a horrible mother!!
Sadly, I’ve heard all that and more while nursing a toddler (now 8 and as “normal” as an 8 year old boy can be!)
Congrats on the birthday big guy!!! Boys are awesome. Of course, having only sons I’m a little biased!
