Your sleeping with babies/all the children comics are a great visual that let me feel confident to just keep doing it without constantly setting an end date and to enjoy it and actually feel like a good mom because I’m doing what we all want anyways and ignoring the other visuals I grew up
with (thowing a helpless baby to the other side of the house). I always thought “a gorilla momma doesn’t do that she keeps her baby right next to her to make sure he’s ok”
so THANK YOU!!
This is why your comics are so valuable. The visual that sticks with you and changes your thinking in a way that you just don’t get with wordy blogs saying the same thing.
And the sarcasm and humor helps me still be right about listening to myself and my babies without being mad and mean about the garbage that I am handed as help in the name of this anti baby culture.
Other things you’ve given me encouragement on:
breastfeeding past teeth (currently nursing a 2y8m and a 7month old
constant contact and no crying it out (they are so happy!!)
staying at home to be a real mommy! Seriously now that we are the most educated women of all time doesn’t that mean we are now the most qualified mothers of all time to care for and educate our own children?
Homeschooling. You’ve made it normal for me and have given me the extra courage to do it amongst the raised eyebrows
homebirth. I think it was the comic of the woman giving birth by herself next to a tree that really was the most visually influental to help me see birth as normal. Now my second baby was a homebirth
breastfeeding in public
and just saying everything as the logic that it is and how normal it really is instead of just against mainstream money culture
so THANK YOU!
And since I’m in long beach I’d love to hang with you at a park day sometime
Mmmmm … I love it. So snuggly and comfy looking
Perfection.
So simple yet made me teary eyed. Thank you.
Beautiful… makes me want another babe!
awwwwww….
