Hey all,
well, the computer came out of the shop and all the data was saved, that’s the good news.
The bad news is that I can’t get it to recognize my scanner (you know, the one that scans in the 15+ comics I have in a pile on the desk?) and now it’s started to do this crazy thing where it won’t turn on, until you caress it in just the right way and speak love words into it for oh, a half hour or so. Needless to say it’s going back to the shop today. I feel very sad that the comics are at a standstill right now, and hope you bear with me for a moment while we get this all straightened out. I’m guessing I’ll be buying a new computer, scanner and sure, why not, photoshop for the heck of it. Now might be a good time for you to buy a book, yes?
xox,
Heather

I’m starting a job soon. So I’ll be able to by a book soon! Thanks for the update.
Speaking of books, I just read a great one (didn’t agree with the author’s idea of “sleep training” but that wasn’t the point of the book anyway): “Parenting Inc.” But I’m ready to go back to reading comics!
Sorry about the computer. Don’t let it get you too worked up.
“it won’t turn on, until you caress it in just the right way and speak love words into it for oh, a half hour or so”
I know this sounds sexist but – must be a female!
Just happy you and family are okay! Was getting a little concerned…
Sorry about the computer – have you tried threatening it?
On another note, have you seen those High Fructose Corn Syrup commercials put out by the corn industry? Silly us, thinking this stuff was bad – it’s a good thing the corn people have cleared that up!
Oh no no itsfineinmoderation. Don’t you hear them squeeze that in at the end? Makes me roll my eyes. So does the disposable paper plate one. About how she’ll do anything to spend more time with her kids. I am glad to know I’m not the only one bugged by these commercials. I had my dh cracking up over the HFCS one.
