LOL! The story of my life, just add a coue more kids, and no babies anymore. Though the almost 4 year olds are still nursing! I think I need this one fir my fridge!
1. Mama will eat, but it will be the cold oatmeal scraped out of the bowls that weren’t touched by the pickier kids.
2. The kids will be hungry in 20 minutes, or as soon as breakfast is cleaned up – whichever comes first.
3. There are always eggs left for hubby – they got set aside before the kids entered the kitchen.
4. Mama will drink coffee till her eyes turn brown – and still be tired by 3:00.
Bonus : plenty. There is a stash in the back of the fridge on the top shelf for just that purpose.
Oh I am there every morning and it seems I eat while cooking :/ as well as my coffee which I usually get cold! HAHA I should take more time to feed myself since I am nursing though DH usually gets a hot breakfast, but some days he gets “get your own shredded wheat”
that is a great comic. i feel like i live with hobits. we have 1st breakfast, second breakfast, 11zies, lunch, etc. so they eat like every 1-2 hours all day. sort of like nursing them. LOL
We have hobbits too…Elevensies and secondbreakfast are a house rule.
Yeah, mama gets what breakfast the baby doesn’t steal standing up at the counter while trying to keep little octopus arms out of it.
The kids are always hungry, there are always eggs left for superdad and mama needs two cups of coffee but she really wants a third. *grin*
Mama has 3/16ths of the milk, but she will either split it with Superdad or someone gets the boob juice.
I’ve got two kiddos and often find myself doing these same kind of eating acrobatics. It seems to get exponentially more complicated the older they get (they’re now 7 and 3 1/2)!
This morning, it was granola with extra raspberries with no milk, no, wait, cow’s milk, but NO, NOT COW’S MILK! I meant hemp milk!! for my younger son, and granola with extra raspberries with cow’s milk for my older son. His was straightforward, except he didn’t eat any of it.
By the way, Hi! I used to read you a long while ago and just stumbled on your blog again recently. It’s nice to be back.
I always carry a coffee cup around. Sometimes with coffee in it and other times with hidden food. That way my kids always thinking I am drinking coffee and dont beg me for whatever I am eating
Hilarious. Been there more times than I can count. Answer to bonus question-just a smidge, but can supplement with Mamamilk if nec.
Plenty we NEVER run out of milk (lol), Mama gets to eat closer to lunchtime & Superdad is out of luck!

Being a mom clearly requires calculus.

I’ll agree with Shelly, she’s got it, but on the milk.. I was thinking there’s some pumped milk in the freezer..

Briene…..I’m guilty of doing that, especially with ice cream! Except Child #3 LIKES coffee so can’t do that much anymore!
Briene!! You win all the mama cool points!! I’m passing this one on.
