Hi all,
so, thecowgoddess.com is loaded and going with the favorit-est comics of all time with buy now buttons underneath, it’s a win-win situation ;o) Today it happens to have La Leche League Leader, and so, what I’m saying is, head on over and buy? pretty please? When I started putting the buttons on the comics a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was such a fabulous idea. The comics go out to 2000 + people and really truly right now I make almost nothing off of them. Most months it’s less than $100. It’s gotten kind of ridiculous, and so when I heard about selling the digital downloads I was psyched. Surely I would sell at least $25 a pop, right? 25 people out of 2000+, not too much right? So, after some very time intensive work I got some buttons on and made exactly $0. for the first week I continued to make $0, and then finally sold one in week two. Now, I’m happy to say that I’ve sold 10. In two weeks, with about 10 hours investment of time. Oy vay.
On a more upbeat note, I have Ean’s birth certificate! more about that later…

I just wanted to let you know that even though i can’t buy anything because i’m broke and unemployed i really appreciate what you’re doing here and when i’ve got two cents to rub together i’ll buy something. thanks for your courage and your comics.
Soo, did you get rid of the buttons?
Nevermind. I see the button on a recent one. There are a few cow goddess ones I would buy. But not until I need them. I had a few in mind to print out, but my circumstances changed and I won’t be needing them as soon as I thought. Still, I went over to the cow goddess site to see if I could do it over there, but I can only order those for $10 glossy, signed. I really should just get a book or two, but again, it has to wait now.
You should disable right-clicking on your comics, because I’m sure people have figured out they can grab them for free like that (turds!)
well… i can’t print any because my husband thinks its a good idea to refill the ink cartridge instead of buying a new one, as a load of ink filled syringes lying around and pools of ink and smudged fingerprints everywhere and barely visible printing is better than recycling the empty cartridge and buying a new one that actually works isn’t it grrrr… but i’m going to get your other 2 books that i haven’t got yet if that’s any help.. and maybe a signed copy of my favourite!
how are the amazon referrals working out? do people know they can click on one of your links at amazon, then buy anything from amazon, and that helps you too?

to insert the button, I have to do a whole bunch of stuff, 3 screens, cutting and pasting, turning cranks, yelling at the screen. phew! So, I haven’t gotten to many of them yet. Please send the titles of the comics you are interested in and I’ll add buttons to them, soon ;o)

Hi Rachel,
I looked into turning off the right click and it got me thinking about content, and rights, and the kind of world we live in, and free, and trust and all that. Finally I decided that it would be better to just put the buttons on and those that can, can. you know? I also removed most of the archives though too, at least the links so that it’s much harder to get to the comics…

Oh Heather. I didn’t even know you were pregnant again, much less already had a LITTLE BOY! I am behind on the times. Congrats mama. As for these, I need to get a printer. I have to get one of your prints up in the bathroom (birthing place of choice you know…) to perplex and amuse my guests with. When, as with everyone else, I have a few quarters to my name. Will do it. Promise cross my heart.
