    I love this!

  • I just wrote a long entry about world breastfeeding week ruminating on this sort of moment and how nursing has been good for us. My boy is starting to nurse like that — sitting up and crawling all over me — and it’s so sweetly annoying. I just try to treasure it. Thanks for the reminder.

Love. I think the exact same thing all the time. Who knows how many of those moments are going to stick. :)

That’s exactly how I was sitting tonight with my little guy and very similar to what I said in my head. Thanks for the awesome reminder.

Very sweet. I know this baby is my last and I find myself saying that quite a lot.

My smallest is getting really great and the “nursing gymnastics.” As much as it annoys me, I never want to forget. My oldest (4) still nurses every morning. I can’t believe I actually don’t want her to stop either. :-)

I have been reminding myself to do this a lot lately…can’t let anything step in and rob my joy of these moments.

  • I Love it! Wondering if I could repost on my blog with a link back?

  • I love it…I am feeling this all of the time, as we are watching our last baby turn into a toddler :/

I love this! I do that when nursing my 14mth old :)

    love this one! <3

  • Geez! You make me so happy that I’m pregnant again and will have the chance to have these moments again. I couldn’t handle breastfeeding my 22 month old while being 3 months pregnant and have been missing that time so much.

Thank you for your beautiful comic. :)

Oh, I wish I remembered the last time my 2 year old bfed. I would have paid more attention if I knew it was the last time…sad.

  • I am so glad that I found your website! I love this one because it reminder that I needed to hear today. I usually take Friday’s to remember all the cool things my son has done that week, but it has been a long time since I have done it (shame on me).

I am now off to write my post and I will be including a copy of this cartoon with a link to this site.

    Thank you for the inspiration!

Oh my gosh, who’s been spying on me?! :)

  • Melissa

I miss it! I love to see other people having that same experience.

  • Courtney

    Simply beautiful. Thank you.

I miss those moments. Had lots with my son. He has been weaned for a year and a half. But I am looking forward to those moments, when I nurse my next child, due in October. Only now, my son seems to want to nurse again. Is this normal?? Was just wondering. I never went through this with my first, as I couldn’t even nurse her(milk never came in).

  • I needed this today. Thank you. :)

I LOVE this, my 21month old son is a breastfeeding gymnast of Olympic quality!! He literally crawls and flips and twists all while never letting go of my breast, you put it so perfectly. “sweetly annoying”. THough I am sore from his marathon nursings, I treasure every minute of it. He had slowed his nursings down a bit and I was getting sad that he may wean himself, but this past week has proven that he is not ready. This cartoon and the comments above have given me comfort and reminded me that one day this will be a memory and I want to remember it fondly. Thank you.

    I’m in tears :ยด)

I miss those days with my son. Now he is a very active healthy 22 month old.

A week away from my fourth (and last) baby’s first birthday, this is EXACTLY where I am. There are no words for how beautiful and bittersweet this moment is.

It’s been a while since I’ve visited your website and I am off to catch up…as always, I love love love all your work!

PS My eight year old reads Simply Give Birth whenever she’s in between books these days. It’s her comfort read. She started off just reading the cartoons but now reads the stories as well. SO sweet!
