Simply Give Birth Blog Tour, Renee and Jeremy, Best for Babes and more!!

You can find out more about it here: Blog Tour! The ICAN review isn’t up yet, but will be in the next day or two. I’ll probably remind you to look at it ;o)

Speaking of reviews, I have sometimes the tendency to go completely over the top when I’m recommending something to a friend. I realized this a while ago, but saw it in stark relief the other night when I told a friend that Role Models was one of the best movies ever, right alongside Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man. Okay, these are some great films, but the best ever? I might be a bit overly exuberant. But there are some things I do know about entertainment:

1. The movies listed above are really funny, and they make me laugh, and I like them.
2. Paul Rudd is funny. So is Dane Cook. I like to laugh. I’ve rarely met a stand-up comedian that I didn’t like.
3. I hate tv but really love the Comedy Channel. Jon Stewart is a wonderful man. So is Stephen Colbert. I admire his ability to stay in character.
4. While my musical taste is wide and varied (usually punk, heavy metal, grunge and other things loud and manly), I love listening to Jack Johnson. A lot. Every album, perhaps too often, once a day like an apple to keep the doctor away. maybe more.

Which leads me to this recommendation: A while back I heard the music of Renee and Jeremy as the background of a video. I did a search of them, emailed them, and recommended them on thecowgoddess.com. I really really really like their music. And I swear I’m not being overly exuberant at all!

Well, Jeremy just contacted me and sent me a cd of their new music and it’s really great too, here’s a taste:

I put the music on in the kitchen and looked at baby who was dancing in the sling, arms waving, big smile on his face. We rocked and rolled and jived and jigged for about 20 minutes, just dancing and enjoying each other. Happy making! It’s really beautiful and peaceful and gentle and just lovely. (not at all like Role Models ;o) I hope you enjoy listening to it!

and 5. I’ll be able to listen to it again someday, but right now the big girl of the family has commandeered the ipod and we’re listening to Mamma Mia again, for the 35th time in two days, until we cry ;o) Speaking of Pierce Brosnon, I saw him in person recently. One of the perks of living in LA. Saw Gwen Stefani too, with her main man Gavin Rossdale. And oooops, better run before this turns into a celebrity chasing blog!

And here’s a site that I just found and LOVE! Bestforbabes.org read over those booby traps, it’s true and scary!

Love,
Heather
