“long term damage to the delicate ecosystem of gender roles in our families, work places, and society…”? Because there’s SO MANY other things that aren’t aren’t upsetting or disassembling those gender roles in our lives already, right?
If breastfeeding will lead to divorce, I think the problems were already there and one if not both parties were looking for an ‘out’ long before baby made his/her debut. I read that one to my husband and he nearly snorted water across the table. He also thinks the conclusions are absurd.
Isn’t there a much higher divorce rate now than there was a century ago, when there was very little artificial feeding going on?
sheila: and there was a heck of a lot less shared labor then there is now. 100 years ago all house work, childcare, gardening, education of girls, etc was on mom (unless they were wealthy). i just think little house (i know not the most accurate but pretty accurate).

Because I nurse I am required to sit and put my feet up. Because I get these breaks, I feel rested enough to truly enjoy my husband and family. PBthhhhht is right.
