One house- packed!
3 kids- helped!
1 husband-Worked his ass off!
5 friends-shlepped boxes!
1 5 ton truck-only 2 trips!
1 old house- cleaned!
1 minivan-broke down on moving day and had to be towed by AAA to mechanic!
1397236 boxes-unpacked! (just kidding ;o)
I’m still surrounded by boxes, but generally moved in. And guess what the name of my new street is?
hint: it’s the name of a goddess of motherhood and fertility!
xox,
Heather
ps. 2 comics today and one is about the loss of our family bedroom, our old house had One Big Attic Bedroom (the size of 3 rooms pretty much- but with short walls and hot as hell on summer nights!) Our new house is a traditional 3 bedroom, but lest I fret too much (the big kids are actually thrilled to have their own official bedroom) they’re probably the same distance away from me, there’s just a wall and a door and a small hallway in between us. It’s actually perfect. And get this, in the old house the 1 bathroom was downstairs. In the new house I have 2 bathrooms on the same floor as the bedroom. Crucial in the 9th month! And blissful!

aww, they grow up so fast!
I just “lost” my youngest (#4) to the “kid bedroom” not too long ago and yearn for another to camp out with me in our room. Just like weaning, it is a severing. It is okay to mourn.
Blah blah blah, I can’t hear you, kids never grow up and move out of the bedroom, la la la la la….
so, what’s your street name? there are too many goddesses to simply guess!
Hathor St? LOL!
I love your blog and I’m sure there are lots of bloggers in the Ultimate Blog Party who would enjoy it, too. I don’t see a post for it here on your blog (maybe I missed it?)… if you click to my blog, there’s a link to it. I hope you’ll join! It’s from the 20th through the 27th (now).
That would be crazy if you just moved to Hathor St.!!! Ala, maybe?
I’m going to guess Guadalupe
people think they want to stay forever in your bed and room, but they do eventually move out… and it is sad. waaaah.
And it is important to remember that just because they move out doesn’t mean you won’t sometimes wake up at 2:30 AM to a little face on eye level saying, “Mommy, can I get in with you?” Those nighttime monsters can be terrifying and require Mommy cuddling to drive them away.
I cant believe they Grow so fast! My youngest just turned one and She is distencing herself already (OMG trying not to cry)I dont think she will pack it up and wean but I swear My 4 Y.O. was just born… and she is starting school…so I know how fast this is going happen.
Oh and with all that Fertility floating around on your street, you could send me some! I could really use it!
