World Breastfeeding Week!

It’s world Breastfeeding Week and boy howdy, we’re havin’ some fun here, breastfeedin’ and galavanting around. It’s great. Usually I forget to post about how awesome W.B.W. is because it’s summer and I’m at the beach and for some reason I can never get my act together. Luckily my favorit-est fans over at my fan page: Heather-Cushman-Dowdee’s fan page are posting lots and lots of really awesome, yummy articles.

Number one fan Stephanie just had a baby too ( Adelyn Grace 7/8/10 8lbs 4oz 21½” long 5:17pm), so please wish her well and take a gander at the beautiful photos. What a gorgeous baby!!!!!!!

I’ve been watching my kachingle stats grow over the past week (read my post about it here : I’m a kachingle-er! (I’m already up to 20 kachinglers, only 60 ish more and I’m number one!) and that’s really really awesome. But, I started thinking that we also need to build a giant kachingle network of breastfeeding friendly sites that we can all link to and give money to. That would be a great thing to do during WBW support each other supporting new moms. So, I started a list:

I really want Kellymom.com to have a kachingle medallion. I send new mamas to her site for support almost weekly. I’d love for her to get some of my kachingle cash for her work. I’m going to send her a note.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if LLL was kachingle-able? Or what if your local lll site had a medallion. Then every time you checked to see what time the meeting is, you’d slide them some cash. I’m sure they can use it!

Tanya over at the motherwear blog has done an interview with me, she should have a medallion on her site, so when I visit I can toss her some moolah. I’d like that.

BreastfeedingSymbol.org, we could toss them a penny for use of the symbol if they had a kachingle medallion.

AND Mothering.com what if they had a kachingle medallion and whenever I visited their forums to search for my name (only once, I swear! ;oP) I could give them kachingle money. I would like that.

I know there are so many great breastfeeding blogs, and right now I’m totally drawing a blank…OOH, I’ll check my RSS feed, there! How about

Okay, look, that’s all I can think of right now, and the kids are begging for my attention. Why don’t you guys post some links to favorite pro-breastfeeding blogs, sites and organizations and I’ll send them a link to my post and maybe we can grow a kachingle network. Wouldn’t that be cool?
